CSTD Tap KidsWhat is CSTD Tap Kids?

The Commonweath Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) Tap Syllabus is the complete graded training and examination course, taking children from their first tap step through to professional standard.

Set amalgamations provide a great technical foundation including barre exercises, travelling steps, turns, etc using a variety of rhythms. Specially written music accompanies each exercise.

Dance routines are teachers' own choreography giving flexibility to cater for the needs of each individual student.

Examination candidates receive a written report and grading along with medal, trophy or certificate.

At the intro level, kids have to do both Jazz and Tap. These 2 genres work in tandem with each other - Tap teaches musicality and footwork, while Jazz develops line of the body and strength.

All kids learn the same work as those who take the examinations. The programme at the studio is managed by our instructor, Ms Tiffany Wrightson.
