Ballet Boys' Scholarship Programme AuditionsBallet Boys' Programme (BBP) Auditions

Jitterbugs Swingapore® is proud to present the new Ballet Boys Scholarship Programme.

We recognise that there are many talented and passionate male Ballet dancers who want to further their Ballet training, and we would like to work with them to pursue Ballet excellence.

We invite them to audition for a place in our new scholarship programme, which will include regular Ballet, Boys’ Ballet and Acrobatics classes.

The audition will consist of a class of about Intermediate level. Full commitment to the programme, as well as to the studio, is expected.

 

Date: Wed 5 Dec 2012

Time: 21:30 to 23:00 (Registration starts at 21:00)

Venue: Jitterbugs Swingapore® #B1-08 The Cathay

Attire: Tights, leotard or form-fitting T-shirt, socks, ballet shoes

Pre-requisites: Males aged 16 years and above, with some Ballet training.

The Developing Artiste Programme (DAP) is an intensive programme for talented dancers age 17 years and above. If your idea of fun is spending every evening and weekend sweating it on the dance floor, you might want to audition for the Jitterbugs Swingapore® Developing Artiste Programme. Offering 2 tracks of a 12-month or 24-month period of classes in all our dance forms, the programme aims to groom aspiring dancers for a professional career in dance.

The aim of the programme is to increase the standard of professional performance dance in Singapore to a level comparable to the rest of the world. This will be achieved with consistency, constancy and character.

All successful applicants will benefit from an all-round technical training programme in Jazz, Hip Hop and Ballet, as well as the partner-dances the studio offers. In addition, there will be specialized industry classes offered in Professional Stage Make Up, Production and Performance Skills.

Students are also provided with a network of physical and emotional support. They are educated in not only the physical rudiments of dance, but also the psychological demands of a highly competitive industry.

Developing Artiste ProgrammePlaces in the DAP will be offered at a fee of S$300 per 3-month term (S$1,200 per programme year).
